‘Touch’ by Jay Diamond

Jay Diamond is set to release her single ‘Touch’ as the A Side and ‘Wind Your Neck In’ as the B Side digitally on 31st July. It also includes remixes from each titled tracks by HardHouse Banton, Kirkus amongst others.

‘Touch’ has an innocent nostalgia feel to it like a schoolgirl having her first kiss and reliving the tale at aged sixty. Lyrically the song is beautiful, like Halle Berry with no make-up with lines like, “make love to my mind without touching me,” complimented by Jay’s teeth-achingly-sweet-voice. This song has all the right elements, hip-hop beats, lazy melody, and Jay’s harmonies all equals constant loops on your ipods this summer.

If I did not read the credits of ‘Wind Your Neck In’ I would have refused to believe that the same artist made it. Apart from doing a complete three-sixty musically (which is not bad thing) it has brash, arrogance ‘I am going to make you dance’ to it. This track has a dubstep, hard house feel to it, which is too echoed in the various remixes.

If BITCHES had like the same cult status of ‘The Source’ with four mic ratings then Jay is definitely a three. I say go download it, legally of course on the 31st July.
